his is normally I do not do, reading
fiction. However, I have read few books of Preeti in the past and I really
admire her. From being ‘Just a mother of two’ (well that’s her first blog) to
becoming the best-selling author, her own life is an inspiration to many.
Coming to this new book of her, ‘A Hundred
Little Flames’ – Wow! I cannot believe what I have just read. Just amazing and
beautiful story.
I am not sure whether I call this a beautiful
love story (of love which is so pure) or a young man who has lost his corporate
job in quite an unusual circumstances, finding the meaning in his life by
discovering the past life of his old grandfather.
However, whatever way you want to describe
this, this is a really nice story to read. I really liked the way Preeti has portrayed
the beauty and traditions of Kerala with the words. She has touched many issues
of old age and how, many of the children these days fail to understand that
there is also a life in elderly people (their parents or grandparents) and
there is so much to learn from them. Value their wisdom, learn from their experiences,
talk to them, give your care to them and do this now... before they are gone.
A must read, I would say!!
